While details are still sketchy, preliminary reports indicate that Yoon Eun Hye has signed on to star as the heroine in a Chinese movie oppposite Chow Yun Fat!

The movie is being directed by Zhao Ling Shan (趙林山) and expected to shoot in Beijing, starting at the end of September, for about 4 months. On the director’s Weibo blog, he posted photos of himself with Yoon Eun Hye when she was in China to promote Artistry and stated that she would be in the movie.
Yoon Eun Hye had mentioned on stage at the 2011 Artistry Trend Night event that she could possibly be collaborating with Chinese artists in the future. She may have in fact been referring to this project.
The production is budgeted at $150 million Hong Kong dollars which equates to about $19.25 million USD. The working title of the movie is “銅雀台” or “Tong Que Tai”. It is a historical drama about Cao Cao, a warlord and the penultimate chancellor of the Eastern Han Dynasty who rose to great power during the dynasty’s final years. The movie will portray a little-known love story between Cao Cao (played by Chow Yun Fat) and a young woman he meets later in his life (played by Yoon Eun Hye).
